Earlier this month, I was invited by Manitobah Mukluks to participate in a series of blogger photo shoots with Refinery 29 photographer, Jenna Marie Wakani. Each blogger was tasked with styling one or two looks around these iconic Canadian boots and I have to admit – I wasn’t sure that I could pull off the look as well as Kate Moss!
I chose to style my looks with the Snowy Owl boot in Black ($200 CAD).
Manitobah Mukluks is an Aboriginal owned Canadian company that produces some of the worlds finest authentic Aboriginal mukluks, moccasins and accessories available around the world. I was impressed with the selection on display at Gravity Pope on the day of our shoot!
I went with a classic black pair of mukluks because I figured they would be the most versatile with my wardrobe. With pom-pom tassels and fur, these boots are very boho-chic so I wanted my look to complement that. My long fringe kimono was the PERFECT fit!

With cozy black leggings, a relaxed black blouse and simple gold jewellery, the Manitobah Mukluks and kimono took centre stage. This look had incredible movement when I walked and Refinery 29 photographer Jenna Marie Wakani did a great job capturing that!
I love the handmade details on these boots – the beading is so eye-catching!
For my second look, I thought about wearing a relaxed, long sleeve mini dress to show off the versatility of these boots, but it was just too cold outside! I ended up going for a less bohemian and more cute cozy-chic look. To play up the black with white beading of the boots, I wore my favourite polka dot jeans with an over-sized black poncho sweater.

Which look is your favourite?
I’m really happy with the way these looks turned out and I’ve enjoyed styling my new Manitobah Mukluks since! They are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. It’s like walking on a cloud all day and the soles are super durable and waterproof (suede upper is water-repellent).
